Why Larkfield
What Sets These Courses Apart
No Pressure, No Upsells
Each course is self-contained. You will not be nudged toward products, follow-on packages, or financial instruments.
Malaysia-Specific Context
Content draws on Malaysian company filings, EPF and Amanah Saham structures, Shariah estate considerations, and local legal frameworks.
Measured Pace
Sessions are spaced to allow reflection. There is no expectation that participants move quickly or have prior financial knowledge.
Practical Templates
Every course includes working documents — templates, indexes, annotated examples — that participants keep and use after the course ends.
Independent Perspective
Larkfield holds no product affiliations. Guidance is educational, not advisory. This keeps the focus firmly on understanding, not selling.
Small Group Format
Intake is kept small so participants can ask questions in context rather than following a broadcast lecture.
Questions
What People Often Ask
Do I need any financial knowledge before joining?
No. Each course begins from the assumption that participants have everyday familiarity with money but no formal training. The Household Records and Estate Document courses in particular are designed for people who simply want to bring more order to what already exists.
Are these courses held in person or online?
Sessions are held in person at our Johor Bahru premises. Small group sizes allow for questions and quiet conversation that an online format often cannot accommodate. Enquire directly if your circumstances make attendance difficult.
Will the facilitators give investment advice during the course?
No. Larkfield courses are educational, not advisory. The Financial Statements course covers how to read a company's reported numbers, not which shares to hold. This distinction is maintained throughout.
What does the Estate Document Folder course involve in practice?
Participants work through ten modules at roughly weekly intervals, each covering one part of the estate folder — the will, nominations, powers of attorney, and so on. Templates and a one-hour closing review with the facilitator are included. By the end, you leave with a folder your family can actually use.
How much do the courses cost, and are there payment options?
Quiet Household Records is RM 720, Reading Financial Statements is RM 1,150, and The Estate Document Folder is RM 2,250. All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit. Enquire about payment arrangements if you would prefer to spread the cost of the longer courses.
Can spouses or adult children attend together?
Yes. Several of the topics — particularly estate documents and household records — benefit from both partners being present. Mention this when you enquire and we will confirm whether places are available in the same intake.
